Why learn to build a computer instead of buying a Dell, Gateway, HP, or other pre-built computer?

As anyone who has ever owned a computer has figured out by now, technology moves at lightning speed these days. Huge software corporations seem to be making their operating systems and other software programs bigger with every new version, taking up more space on PCs and slowing them down considerably. Frustrated consumers and business owners continue to buy new PCs every couple of years, trying to keep up with the trends but inevitably falling behind. What does this mean for you? You're probably wasting thousands of dollars on equipment.

So how can you save money on equipment costs? You could rent equipment, but you'll probably end up spending more money in the long run. You could buy used computers or use online auctions, and this may save you money at first, but used computers or equipment that comes from who-knows-where are bound to cause problems. Besides, you're trying to keep up with technology--not chase after it. Try learning how to build a computer!
